The space conquest game mode works in essentially the same way except later stages work with technological advancements rather than evolution. Just like the later stages of the normal game mode. This is where more complex concepts of physics among other principles and concepts may be introduced. Space Conquest also provides concepts such as diplomacy, trade, and advanced combat systems as well as a general overhaul on the way the game works. There are several ways to win these scenarios which I will go into listing now.
-Expansion: Leave the galaxy in search of others (Light speed travel is NOT physically possible, do not attempt to try it.)
-Conquest: Conquer all the sectors of the galaxy, the way this works is each player has a sector. For each player controlled sector there is a neutral sector (If there are 4 players there are 8 sectors. 4 player controlled 4 neutral.) It comes down to the GM to provide a rough map of the galaxy each round just to show where things are. But generally this should be done via hex grids and MS paint as it is the easiest. Each sector contains 5 "Capital" star systems. Each of those must be captured for a sector to be under control. In space conquest mode "Previous Adaptations" Is replaced by "Previous Tech" and "Previous Ship Upgrades" ship upgrades depending on the upgrade will change the dice rolls of it or the enemy. Ship-to-ship combat is determined by a dice roll.
-Monopoly: In Space Conquest you may trade resources. Ship and Tech upgrades will cost these resources. (Say increased armor hauls may require 4 titanium) Each "Capital" Star system holds a primary resource. If any one civilization can hold every resource system for any given resource will win the game. Resources include Titanium, Iron, Silicone, Hydrogen, and Gold. Diplomacy and trade are all done inside a turn and is done like the +2 and -1 system. However due to the new nature of upgrades and the way they work the +2 and -1 system no longer works. However you may opt to steal a resource which will be available only by your nation for the next 2 rounds. Or you may gift a resource for however long.
These are about all the ways to win. Remember you must also keep your populations fed, food is a necessity that can be found in every Capital System. However which ones hold these is up to the GM. THE GM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE AFOREMENTIONED IN-GAME CONCEPTS. THIS IS AN ADVANCED GAME MODE OF GENESIS AND SHOULD NOT BE HOSTED WITHOUT PROPER WILLINGNESS TO PUT IN THE EXTRA EFFORT TO MAKE IT WORK.
